There are two ways of doing this, you either have to up levels, which increases the inside space, or buy and outdoor area to the left of your resturant. There is no other way apart from these two options. Hope this helps!

That's right! shortening the distance among chefs, waiters and customers is the way to go!

I think it's actually as early as level 7 that you're required to own at least one toilet. That's when some customers wouldn't give you the thumbs up after eating -- they give after using the toilet.

Then a few levels after that, you're required to own a sink. That's when some toilet users won't give you the thumb up until they washed their hands :)

Until I got my 9th employee, that's what I've been doing: switching a chef (not a waiter) to clean the toilets then switching him back to chef duties.

When I got my 9th employee, though, I kept it as my permanent janitor :)
For 8 employees,
I have 4 chefs and 4 waiters. That's more than enough to maintain the maximum popularity of 50.0 :)

i just switched a waiter to a janitor and waited until he cleaned the toilet then i switched him back

actually, shorten the distance customers have to walk would turn out better. im lvl12 with popularity ratings 47. and there's something you have to take note. the higher the ratings, the more the customers. (at 47, even 10 toilets, 18 tables, 3 waiting chairs, 4 cooks, 2 waiters are not enough.)

at lvl11 (if im not wrong), you might have to buy toilets to preserve your popularity ratings (unless you wanna buy the arcade machines) which cost 8000 for each machine. if unless you wanna level quickly with the high number of customers, don't go for popularity ratings. ^^

Check your menu, on the last item (drinks) if you've never leveled up any of your drinks, then make sure that the first item on the drinks list is chosen (that is the default).

I have never leveled up my drinks but I have maintained a popularity of 50 (maximum popularity).

i'm level eleven aswell and i have found a layout which lets you get a rating of 48.7
i have 6 toilets,4 waiting chairs, 12 tables,4cooks and 2waiters you should try it.

Rating 35.
Lvl. 8

4 chefs
1 waiter
12 tables in 1 cluster with 5 tiles for waiter.
2 toilets
4 waiting chairs
entry maze

you can also clean your toiletes by clicking the menu and then back to reaturant..

my rating was 42 at lvl 11. My strat must be better.

atm my rating is 45.

8 toilets
5 chefs
2 waiters
2 seperate clusters
in 1, waiter cant move, serves 6
in other, waiter has 2 squares. serves 7
10 waiting seats. 2 doors for quicker flow of customers.

@Cat using firefox is actually better than using Internet Explorer. However, it may be because of the version of firefox you're using current. Check your version through Help menu. Latest firefox version up to date is 3.5.2
